The God of Heaven,

the One who owns everything,

the One who owns the vast wealth of the Universe,

The One who exists in unapproachable light,

The King over all peoples,

The Majestic and beautiful of One,

The Source of EVERY good and perfect thing,

It is He that paid the greatest cost that could have been paid for me.

He held nothing back.

He spared no expense.

There is nothing more valuable than himself.

The Ruler of Heaven of Earth gave us is own life.

I was purchased at an exorbitant cost.

That’s how valuable I am to Him.

He paid this great price so that I might become his beloved child.

That I might enjoy living in intimate union with him forever.

So, I am uncommon.

Small Things are Bigger than we Realize

Do not look down upon the seemingly insignificant things you do in life,

when it seems like your words and or actions have been pointless.

When there are no numbers that add up to success,

When you have made SMART goals and you’ve fallen miserably short.

When you’re feeling discouraged, disappointed and disillusioned.

When you question the sense in ever pursuing this work.

Do not dismiss the smallness as failure.

Meant for More

Recently, I’ve been thinking alot about how to prepare for my children for life beyond our home.  I think of the struggles that I’ve had in getting comfortable in my own skin, and this journey of re-discovering who I really am.  I’ve been told what to do, and how to do it.  I was told to work extremely hard in high school.  Get good grades. And go to college.  That would assure me a “good job” .  So I did.  I took as many AP classes as possible.  I worked my buns off in order to keep my GPA as close to perfection as possible.Continue Reading
